One of the special outings planned by Charter Club tours was to go to a lake in Mexico City and board a kind of barge that was propelled by strong men wielding long poles. Some people had been to Venice so this reminded them of the gondola operators.
Anyway, we board these long boat and got our hernias y brands and had a good look around art the truly amazing amount of boats packed into a ver small space jostling for position. As we floated down the lake we relaxed into the experience and awaited our BBQ lunch which was randy and tasty.
At various points during our meal we were interrupted by the ever present vendor trying to sell us something. We kept chorusing, No, gracias! and they eventually floated away.I was glad to see many Mexican families enjoying their day on the water as well.
